Knippling, who is the commission’s new chairman, came back with this news. Arizona has legalized the AR-style semiautomatic rifles, and silencers, and 30-round clips, for hunting. “Are you kiddin’?” she said. The explanation from Arizona officials, she said, was that people want protection in case they encounter cartel members.
