No more e-mails from the Obama administration?

I’m still not exactly sure how I wound up on a variety of lists for news release e-mails from the Obama administration. And I’m still not certain why I was cut off. I was invited to participate in a regional reporters’ call-in organized by the White House on health insurance. On the other end were four state insurance regulators (none from South Dakota) and a member of the White House team. I participated and even was allowed to ask a question. The question to the regulators was, What is an acceptable rate of return for an insurance company on health insurance? Within hours, I received an e-mail telling me that the e-mail service had been stopped at my request. Except I didn’t request it. I thought maybe I hit the “unsubscribe” button by accident. But that required an e-mail from me, and I couldn’t find an e-mail from me to them in my “mail sent” list. I sent an e-mail message asking for service to be restored. That was approximately one month ago. I’m still waiting. The funny thing is they didn’t even wait to read the story in the newspapers the next day.

A ‘new era of transparency’ apparently didn’t inlclude you or your readers. Maybe Fox News will have something from the Obama Administration.
